Conversations of Freedom for the 250th continues with a compelling talk by Larry James, archaeologist with Brockington and Associates, who will share the story of a recent archaeological excavation that uncovered a historic kitchen house located south of the House Museum.

Drawing from his experience leading Brockington's field excavation, James will discuss the process of uncovering and documenting this significant structure, as well as the discoveries that have emerged from the site. Through archaeology and material culture, the excavation offers new insights into the daily lives, labor, and lived experiences of those connected to the property.
